Dyson Vacuum Cleaners

James Dyson was born in Norfolk, England in 1947. After school he went to the Royal College of Art in London. In the early 1970’s he worked for a company called Rotork but by 1974 he had set up on his own business.

During the following years he invented a wheelbarrow that used a ball instead of a front wheel along with various other product inventions. In 1975, he formed the idea that would catapult him into the worldwide market with massive success, a vacuum cleaner that would work without use of bags.

After a long development stage, the G-Force cleaner was ready. It won the International Design Fair prize in Japan.
