Dyson Vacuum CleanersJames Dyson was born in Norfolk, England in 1947. After school he went to the Royal College of Art in London. In the early 1970s he worked for a company called Rotork but by 1974 he had set up on his own business. During the following years he invented a wheelbarrow that used a ball instead of a front wheel along with various other product inventions. In 1975, he formed the idea that would catapult him into the worldwide market with massive success, a vacuum cleaner that would work without use of bags. After a long development stage, the G-Force cleaner was ready. It won the International Design Fair prize in Japan. Dyson vacuum cleaners are widely available to buy, both in high street stores and from online retailers.
